5 Vocabs per day - Part 1

swear off  -promise to pledge @ to avoid @ to give up - you need to swear off bacon and meats.

abstain - to avoid - you  don't need to abstain red meat.

lean - fat free - Lean cuts of meat are the best option, whether you are eating chicken or beef.

reap - obtain @ gain - You have to complete hour-short workout sessions each day to reap healthy benefits.

paramount - foremost @ prime @ important - Spending time together is paramount tips on having a happy teenager.

advocates - recommend @ suggest - Dean also advocates plenty of hugs every day for having happy family.

retaliate - revenge - the boy hitted her and she retaliate immediately.

emphasise - to stress - emphasise - he jabbed his finger into tabletop to emphasise his point.

Expression : Over

all over : finish

knock 'someone' over - reaction when you hitted a man and he fall.

fall over - collapse

take over - "someone" who dominate 'someone" (company , country , or etc)

start all over - to begin again

Im so over it - it is enough @ I'm done.

over - too much @ too many

over react - too emotional - "Calm down, do not over react, Nissa."

over used - use something too much - You cellphone was broken down because you always over used it.

overplayed - play one song everyday  @ used to describe to hit song that is played on radio numerous times to the point of annoyance. - "Oh God, the song is so overplayed! "

over worked - workaholic @ work too much - She is over worked.

Over booked - accept more reservations beyond the capacity of accomodation. - "We're sorry. We're overbooked." (hotel room or flight or etc)

Over my head - dont understand - this conversation was over my head (didnt make sense).

Over drawn - you have taken out too much money that you dont have(money $$)

Over loaded - too much projects @ work

Overstocked - supply with   something more than necessary - Do not overstock the kitchen with fastfood.

over friendly - too friendly - One of an overly-friendly person i hate is the security guard at your office that insists on telling me 'welcome back' every time I walk in
